Weatherguard Metals Ltd. is a leading metal fabrication and installation company located in SE Calgary. Our projects are seen all over the industrial, commercial, and residential sectors in western Canada. As such, we are seeking a reliable Shop Worker who is committed to working in a fast-paced, team environment. The ideal candidate would have previous experience in the metal industry, however, we are willing to train the right candidate.

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Marking, Shearing, and Bending metal material.

• Cutting extrusions, constructing metal accessories, and building metal panels.

• Operating metal brake, shear and other power tools

• Crating panels and handling material

• Operating forklift (if applicable)

• Assessing proper loads on trailers

• Conducting shipping and receiving duties.
   

Requirements:

• Ideal candidate would have prior experience in metal manufacturing including knowledge of power brakes, power shears, portable saws, and electric tools

• Ability to stand for long hours while completing repetitive tasks

• Ability to be punctual, reliable, and follow instructions

• Ability to have reliable transportation to the workplace.

• Ability to work extended hours (8-10hrs) as per job requirements

• Proven commitment to safety, including wearing proper PPE at all times.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

 

Salary: $20.00-$27.00 per hour depending on experience

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday (Day Shift)

• 8-10 hour shifts depending on work load

• Overtime pay after 8 hours

• Weekends as needed

Work Location: In person at the main office in SE Calgary.
